Cassona Global Imaging, a leading distributor of advanced medical imaging technology in Africa, in partnership with Mindray, a global provider of medical imaging solutions, has empowered Bachelor of Science Medical Imaging Technology students at the University for Development Studies (UDS) in Tamale with specialized training.
Ghana, like many other African countries, continues to lag in the adoption of ultrasound and advanced medical imaging technologies. Recognizing this gap, Casona Global Imaging organized a comprehensive training session aimed at equipping both students and professionals in Tamale with essential knowledge and skills in medical imaging.
Mr. David, Sales Representative of Casona Global, emphasized the importance of the initiative. He noted that the company is not only focused on supplying imaging equipment but is also committed to building the capacity of users to ensure effective operation. According to him, this hands-on training will significantly enhance healthcare delivery in the Northern Region.

The training facilitator highlighted that the session was crucial in enabling medical professionals to identify health abnormalities at early stages, a critical step in improving patient outcomes.
Participants expressed their gratitude to Casona Global Imaging and Mindray for the opportunity. They noted that the training would greatly enhance their diagnostic accuracy and work efficiency.
Ghana’s healthcare sector continues to face major hurdles, particularly in the availability and accessibility of modern diagnostic tools. The lack of advanced imaging equipment often results in delayed or inaccurate diagnoses, affecting treatment outcomes. Casona Global Imaging is working to bridge this gap by providing healthcare professionals with state-of-the-art tools and the training necessary to use them effectively, ultimately aiming to improve patient care across the country.

Cassona Global Imaging has once again demonstrated its leadership in advancing healthcare innovation, earning prestigious recognition at the Ghana–West Africa Healthcare Excellence Awards held at Marriott Hotel, Accra, on 27th March, 2026, with the theme "Promoting Standards and Excellent Stewardship in the Health Industry." The company was officially confirmed as a recipient of the Medical Imaging Company of the Year award, an achievement that highlights its outstanding contributions to the healthcare sector across Ghana and West Africa.
