Casona Global Imaging Limited has donated food items valued at more than GH¢10,000 to the Hamad Saeed Ubaida Al-Shamsi Mosque at the University for Development Studies (UDS) in Tamale to support Muslim students and community members observing the holy month of Ramadan.
The presentation ceremony, held at the mosque on the UDS Tamale campus, brought together representatives of the company, mosque leadership, university officials, and members of the Muslim community. The donation included essential food supplies intended to support Suhoor (pre-dawn meals) and Iftar (evening meals to break the fast).
Ramadan, a sacred month of fasting, prayer, reflection, and charity, can be financially challenging for many students and worshippers. Recognizing this need, the company extended support to ease the burden on faithfuls as they fulfill their religious obligations.
Speaking at the event, a sales representative of Casona Global Imaging Limited said the gesture underscores the company's commitment to social responsibility and community development.
"This donation is our way of showing solidarity with our Muslim brothers and sisters in Tamale, especially during this holy month," he said. "At Casona, we believe healthcare and humanity go hand in hand. Beyond business, we are committed to social responsibility and to making a positive impact everywhere we operate."
He also announced upcoming plans for deeper engagement with Ghana's health sector, revealing that in 2026 the company will host the first-ever Casona Healthcare Conference, aimed at bringing together industry professionals to advance healthcare delivery in the country.
Leaders of the Hamad Saeed Ubaida Al-Shamsi Mosque expressed profound appreciation for the donation, describing it as timely and impactful. They noted that the support would greatly benefit students and other congregants who rely on communal assistance during Ramadan.
They further commended the company for setting a high standard for corporate humanitarian initiatives and encouraged other organizations to emulate the gesture to promote unity, compassion, and social welfare.
The donation forms part of Casona Global Imaging Limited's broader corporate social responsibility programme, which focuses on community development, health support, and social impact. Over the years, the company has demonstrated a commitment to improving lives through partnerships and philanthropic activities.
Students of UDS present at the ceremony expressed gratitude, saying the gesture reduces financial strain and allows them to focus on their academic responsibilities while observing the Ramadan fast.
